Students in Pakistan and Bangladesh can lay the foundations for a successful career with our Foundation Diploma
What will I learn?
If you don’t have the relevant qualifications to start the ACCA Qualification, then the Foundation Diploma will prepare you. It provides a background in essential skills and techniques, and is an exceptional introduction to accountancy and finance.
What will it involve?
The Foundation Diploma consists of seven exams and an online ethics module. We recommend that the exams are taken in the following order, for which you receive interim awards along the way:
- ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 2): The first two exams cover some essential basic principles: Management Information; and Recording Financial Transactions.
- ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 3): The next two exams build on your essential knowledge of financial transactions: Maintaining Financial Records; and Managing Costs and Finance.
- ACCA Diploma in Accounting & Business (RQF Level 4): The final three exams are: Accountant in Business; Management Accounting; and Financial Accounting.
Once you have completed all of the above and passed the online ethics module, Foundations in Professionalism, you can then transfer to the ACCA Qualification, starting with our Applied Skills exams.

What opportunities could it lead to?
Despite being at the start of your journey, there are still a range of roles you could undertake such as junior bookkeeper, administrator and trainee accountant.
Students who successfully complete the Foundation Diploma will be automatically transferred to the ACCA Qualification at Fundamentals level, and given exemptions from the first three exams, free of charge.
How long will it take?
With on-demand computer-based exams available throughout the year, you could complete the entire Foundation Diploma and be registered as an ACCA student within 12 months.
Am I eligible?
Yes. Our Foundation Diploma exams are designed for those who don’t have any relevant qualifications. However, students in Bangladesh are encouraged to complete O’Levels or the SSC exam prior to starting the Diploma to ensure they have the best chance of success. Students in Pakistan will benefit from completing O’Levels, Matriculation or Intermediate before starting their Foundation Diploma.
You may also benefit from taking our self-check module that lets you test your English and maths skills. It’s free, optional and entirely anonymous. Check your English and maths.
